Founded in 1910, McLean is home to the Great Falls and Old Dominion Railway (now the WO&D) and many government officials, diplomats, businessmen, and more. McLean is known for it’s luxury homes and high-end shopping including Tysons Corner and the Tysons Galleria. Many large companies including Capital One, Mars, and Freddie Mac are based in McLean, along with CIA headquarters and a US Department of Transportation Research Center. Transportation is key as commuters take advantage of the many highways and roads that run through McLean - the Capital Beltway, George Washington Mem. Parkway, 66, the Dulles Access Road, and Chain Bridge Road just to name a few. McLean offers many parks and great schooling as part of the Fairfax County Public School system.
"I like how close it is to Arlington and Washington D.C. without actually being caught up in it. The area has everything a family could need but is still growing. There are quite a few of long time family owned restaurants and companies in the area which should speak volumes for the area."

"McLean VA is a great place for single professionals at the mid-point in their careers and for well-off families. Cost of living can be a bit steep depending on where you live, but there are a lot of great resources in the city, places to eat, work, shop, and get together with friends/family."
